IVIS Plus Frequently Asked Questions:

Why can't I print from IVIS Plus after switching to a new printer?

  • First verify the printer can print a test page from windows. This will verify the driver has been properly installed and there is communication between the computer and the printer.
  • Next, click here for the steps to verify the printer has been selected in your card design.

When I log onto the IVIS Plus program, I get the message "Unable to Contact Sentry Block, check Sentry," what does this mean?

  • The Sentry Block, also known as a Software Sentinel Key is a black plastic block located on the computer's Parallel port or a blue USB Key that looks like a thumb drive.

  • The key contains a chip programmed with your licensing information. IDenticard software will not be able to run without this key attached, so the port with the key attached must be available at all times. Parallel port 'switches,' such as an A/B printer switch, are not supported. On systems that have been working, this message comes up most often when the key has become loose, or if a printer attached to the key is in an error state, such as 'out of paper'.

What Camera/Printers can I use with IVIS Plus?

  • Click the Digital Cameras or Printers button in the main navigation menu at left for a list of Cameras or Printers that are supported in current versions of IVIS Software.

What is the most current version of IVIS Plus Software?

  • Click here for a list of the currently released versions of each software package.

What is Teslin Badge Stock?

  • Teslin is a type of thin plastic material that can be printed on with a standard InkJet printer. When laminated in a pouch, the card is fused into one plastic badge. Because the stock is plastic, and not paper, it should not be used in a LaserJet printer. Serious printer damage could result.
