To Configure a Printer:
- Choose 'Edit' from the Menu Bar, and 'Printer Setup.'
- This will show two lists of printers:
- Undefined printers are printers installed in Windows, but not configured to work with the IVIS Plus system.
- Defined printers are printers that may or may not be installed in Windows, but are ready to work with IVIS Plus. It is recommended that you remove printers you do not use from the 'Defined Printers' list.
- Add your printer to the defined list by highlighting it and clicking 'add.'
- In the Media Type pop-up box, you will choose the
appropriate media and encoder (if applicable) for your
printer:
- Ink Jet & Laser Printers: Teslin/Paper
- PVC Printers: PVC
- Save your modifications by clicking 'Save,' then choose 'Exit.'
- Select the printer in the card design.
There are two steps to installing a printer in IVIS Plus. The first step is to set it as an available printer for IVIS Plus to use. IVIS Plus can be configured to send different card designs to different printers. Therefore, the second step is to tell IVIS which printer should be used when printing each card design. To do this, you need to open the card design and select the printer.
