Card Durability
IDenticard ID badges feature an exclusive wrapped edge; a single piece of tough, protective laminate that actually wraps around your card. It protects your ID badges from delamination... a common cause of card failure in reader systems. We can supply the cards to you fully laminated, ready for immediate issue.
Card Technology
The technology used on your ID badge depends upon the type of card reader you'll select with your system. The most common technologies are magnetic stripe and bar code. Both magnetic stripes and bar codes can be combined on a single card if necessary.
Magnetic Stripe
IDenticard high coercivity magnetic stripes are protected with Magnacote, an exclusive covering that gives superior protection against abrasion and wear for both the stripe and the reader. Unlike other coatings, Magnacote helps keep the reader head close to the magnetic stripe to assure consistently good readings.
IDenticard's half-inch high coercivity stripes allow multiple track encoding. That means your cards can accommodate two or more different encoding sequences on the same magnetic stripe. Our high coercivity coated stripes are rated at 2,750 oersted, virtually eliminating accidental erasures and read errors. The stripe's constant density makes encoding easy. You may encode your cards yourself or order them already encoded from IDenticard.
 Bar Code
There was a time when using a bar code system involved applying sticky labels to your ID badges; a time-consuming process of making sure each label was carefully placed in exactly the right spot. With IDenticard, you can say good-bye to messy bar code labels. With our ID badges, you print bar codes directly on the badge. Bar codes print clearly, cleanly and accurately.
Our special bar code software enables you to do the laser-printing yourself. Or we can handle it for you. We'll supply you with fully-laminated, bar coded cards ready for immediate issue.
Reliability
You can rest assured that your IDenticard ID badges will work in your system. We'll test each card in a reader that you supply to us. Lack of confidence in the cards and reader system is the last thing you need during your hectic serving times. |
