Reader Technology
Debit ID card systems generally use a special magnetic stripe; appropriately called the debit stripe. (It is also referred to as a "junk stripe" because it is often used for purchases from candy vending machines.) Because the stripe is thinner than our standard half-inch high coercivity magnetic stripe, it can only contain information for the debit system. If you plan to use your debit card in another data collection system, IDenticard badges can include both the debit stripe and the "standard" stripe, making your cards truly multifunctional.
Dimensional Control
Because debit card systems most often use insertion-style readers, dimensional control is of utmost importance. Badges that you assemble yourself may not meet the strict dimensional requirements of the reader. Let us worry about it for you.
