Product Description

These small, light card readers offer great security, convenience, and versatility. Using USB technology, they require no external power or software drivers. Simply plug them into your computer’s USB port and go.

This USB desktop Playback Reader is for MIFARE 13.56 MHz contactless smart cards to read login information from MIFARE smart cards. Use with RDR-7580AKU Reader/Writer for PC login and other applications. Works with Windows 2000, XP and Vista. Requires no software drivers. One Playback Reader is required for each PC that you want to control.

How it Works:

The PC Log-in system uses the power of MIFARE® contactless smart card technology to log in and out of your PC. Your log-in credentials, along with controlling keystrokes, are written into your card using the PC Log-in writer. At your computer, a PC Log-in Playback reader logs you in when you present the card. It can also be set up to allow you to be logged in only as long as your card is on or near the reader. The Sonar Presence Detector (BSE-PCPRX-SNR) can be added to your system to "see" when you leave your PC’s vicinity, and log you out.
