IDenticard Brings Interactive Web-Based Learning to Customers

Lancaster, PA (April 11, 2002) -- IDenticard, a leading producer of security identification and access control systems, introduces a variety of instructor-led, web-based training courses designed specifically for operators and system administrators who want to know how to get the most out of their IDenticard systems and products.

Offered through the IDenticard University Learning Center (IULC), these interactive courses provide customers with the opportunity to educate their operators and/or system administrators about the sophisticated and intricate features of IDenticard's IVIS Plus Digital Imaging line -- the IVIS Plus 2000, 1000, 500 and 250. "These courses are designed to help operators and administrators get to know their digital imaging systems inside and out so they can maximize the benefits of their products," said Jill Yescalis, training director, IDenticard. By doing so, they ensure that regardless of their organization's staffing situation (i.e. illness or employee turnover) someone is familiar with the system's functions. From setting up a database, to designing badges and mastering graphic functions, IDenticard's expert instructors work with users to tailor the web-based training session to meet their specific needs.

"During the past few years, there have been tremendous advances in software programs that allow us to share applications via the Internet, so that we can make personalized training available worldwide," said Yescalis. "Our IVIS Plus digital imaging web-based courses enable customers to interact directly with one of IDenticard's chief instructors without ever having to leave the comfort and convenience of their own offices." The customer simply dials a specific phone number, logs in with an assigned password and within seconds, can be looking at the IDenticard instructor's computer screen and talking directly with the instructor. "As an instructor, I can even give the student control of the mouse on my desktop for hands-on learning," explained Yescalis.

The IULC training department maintains a flexible training schedule to accommodate clients' scheduling needs. A fee is charged per Internet connection, so that many users can sit in on any session for one price. Because the Internet session can serve four connections simultaneously, users from multiple companies may benefit from communicating with one another during the session.
