Saves Time and "Hardware and Tear!"

HealthcareFaced with repeated problems with their old, unreliable imaging system, Central DuPage Hospital was ready for a change. Facility Services Coordinator Barb Young was tired of seeing repair people come and go, only to have the same errors occur five minutes after they walked out the door. And that wasn't all. The marketing department announced they were rolling out a new brand and logos, which meant in addition to upgrading their technology, they would need to issue 3,500 new ID cards for Central DuPage Hospital, Central DuPage Health, and all affiliates.

Barb turned to IDenticard and the IDenticard IVIS Plus digital imaging system -- upgrading their technology to a system that was not only Y2K-compliant, but also compatible with existing photos and data from their own system.

But how best to produce 3,500 new cards in time for marketing's set roll-out date of the new logo? And did she really want to "max out" her brand new printer?

Barb utilized IDenticard's new Badging Service Bureau. IDenticard converted the photos and data from the hospital's old system to produce the initial batch of 3,500 cards, saving not only time, but wear and tear on Central DuPage Hospital's new printer. In addition, IDenticard was able to deliver the badges within a few days, making it possible for the Hospital's marketing department to meet their set logo roll-out date and present the new badges at the same time.

IDenticard's Badging Service Bureau can print, fabricate, collate and customize initial issue of ID cards compatible with any imaging and access control system, with a standard turnaround time of only 2-3 days.

Designated employee parking is also an important facet of the Central DuPage Hospital campus. The new ID badges provide security with quick visual identification of employees and control of parking access, with the aid of data linked to employee names, numbers and license plates. With a large number of contractors employed by the hospital, including temporary nursing staff and construction workers, color-coding of badges has proved invaluable. With the IVIS Plus imaging system, hospitals and organizations can quickly and easily produce individual badges for temporary and short-term employees. Central DuPage Hospital is also currently incorporating 11 satellite offices into one database within the IVIS Plus system.

Barbara calls the system "very user-friendly," and, we're proud to say, feels the same way about the people at IDenticard, citing successful presentations and good references as key in their decision making.
